Ruth Schreiber has been creating beautiful pottery since 1975 as a Member of the Waterloo Potters Workshop. With an eye for shape and colour, her favourite pieces are from nature. She creates platters pressed exactly from a one-of-a-kind leaf, or chimes tinkling with fish. Tiny snails, frogs and bunnies sometimes sit on the edge of a serving dish, and a bumble bee might grace the top of a honey dispenser. Pretty and practical casseroles and a wide variety of serving and decor pieces can be seen at her studio. Ruth's Studio is beside her cottage home on the shores of Lake Huron. Here she can hear twittering birds and watch hilarious chipmunks while she puts her hands to the wheel. 

 

Ruth does a few shows each year. Among them are the Spring and Christmas Shows of the Waterloo Potters Workshop, as well as shows by the Shoreline Artists in Southampton Port Elgin Area. The first weekend in August often sees Ruth and her pottery at "Art on the Fence" near the Southampton flagpole. The Shoreline Artists host their signature show during Pumpkinfest, where you will find Ruth displaying her work.
